Model meaning

The​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ ZN63 high-voltage circuit breaker, or simply the VS1 circuit breaker (VS1 being its most known model), is a series of indoor medium-voltage vacuum circuit breakers intended for the reliable switching and protection of a power network. More specifically, the fixed trolley type means a stationary handcart-style configuration.

By using a high-tech vacuum arc-extinguishing unit, the breaker finds its extensive application in three-phase AC 50Hz power systems with rated voltages from 3.6kV to 12kV. As a protective and controlling device for power equipment, it is the most vital switching component of the new power distribution system in substations, industrial, and mining enterprises' power distribution ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌systems.

 Ambient Air Temperature

The temperature range for normal use is from -5°C to +40°C. The 24-hour average temperature should not go beyond +35°C. In low-temperature conditions, the device can still work at -10°C or -25°C, but the user must be informed first. If any service is performed above the limit of +40°C or below -10°C/-25°C, the user should be consulted beforehand.

 Installation Altitude

The place where the device is installed should be less than 2000 meters above the sea level.

Atmospheric Conditions

• At +40°C, the maximum relative humidity should be 50%. At lower temperatures, higher relative humidity is also acceptable.
• At the time of wet months, the average maximum relative humidity can be 90%, and the average minimum temperature can be +25°C.
• It should also be considered that moisture may form on the product surface due to temperature changes. If the conditions exceed these limits, consultation with the user will be necessary.

Protection Grade

The gadget is rated as IP30 in terms of protection.

 Usage Category

Class A or Class B.

 Installation Category

• The circuit breakers and undervoltage releases with the rated voltages of operating 660V (690V) or less, together with the power transformers primary winding, are intended for N Installation Category.
• The designation for auxiliary and control circuits is Category III for Installations.

 Installation Requirements

In order to ensure the proper functioning of the circuit breakers, their installation should follow the guidelines contained in this manual.

• The vertical tilt of the circuit breaker should not be more than 5°.
• The tilt of the mining circuit breakers should not be more than ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌15°.
