   The CJX2 (LC1-D) series AC contactors (hereinafter re-ferred to as contactors) are mainly used in power sys-tems with AC 50Hz(or 60Hz), rated working voltage up to 690V, and rated working current up to 95A at a ratedworking voltage of 380V in the AC-3 usage category.They are used for long-distance connection and discon-nection of circuits, and can be combined with appropri-ate thermal overload relays to form electromagneticstarters to protect circuits that may experience operational overload. Contactors are suitable for frequentstarting and control of AC motors.
   This series of contactors complies with standards such as GB14048.4-1993 and lEC60947-4

When an AC contactor is energized, the internal coil generates a magnetic field, causing the moving core and stationary core to attract and close.

This action drives the contact system to connect
 with the stationary contacts, thereby completing the circuit.

When the coil is de-energized
, the magnetic force dissipates, and the return spring pushes the moving core backseparating the contacts and opening the circuit.

1. Electromagnetic system

Coil: A copper wire winding wound around an insulating skeleton that generates a magnetic field when energized.

Iron core: including static iron core and dynamic iron core (armature), usually made of stacked silicon steel sheets, used for magnetic conduction and driving contact action.

Product testing

Coil and insulation performance testing


Coil DC resistance: Measure the coil resistance with a multimeter to determine if there is a short circuit or open circuit between turns.

Insulation resistance test: Use a megohmmeter (shake meter or digital insulation tester) to measure:

  • Between the contacts of each phase
  • Between the contact and the coil
  • Between each live component and the frame (ground)
  • The insulation resistance value is usually required to be greater than 1M Ω (according to the standard, commonly 1-10M Ω).

Electrical action characteristic testing


Pull in voltage and release voltage test: Use an adjustable power supply to power the coil, slowly increase the voltage until the contactor reliably pulls in (usually below 85% of the rated voltage), and slowly decrease the voltage until it reliably releases (usually above 20% -40% of the rated voltage).

Power on suction/release test: Repeat the operation several times at rated voltage, listen for crisp sound, and observe for any abnormal vibration or continuous buzzing sound.

Main contact continuity test


Contact resistance test: Use a circuit resistance tester or a low resistance micro ohmmeter to measure the resistance of each pair of main contacts in the closed state. The value should be very small and three-phase balanced (such as<100 µ Ω level).

Verification of on-off status: In the power-off state, use a multimeter to check the on-off range:

Normally open main contact: When the coil is not powered on, it should be disconnected, and when manually pressed, it should be connected.

Normally closed auxiliary contact: opposite state.

Rail installation: Insert the standard 35mm rail and fix it with a "click" sound.
